What is NAD+ Capsules?
NAD⁺ is a dinucleotide of nicotinamide and adenine mononucleotide. As a redox cofactor it carries electrons in glycolysis, the citric acid cycle and the respiratory chain; it is also consumed by sirtuins, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases and CD38. In capsule form the substance comes in a constant amount per capsule, which makes standardised test series without reconstitution easier.

State of research
NAD+ takes part in hundreds of reactions: as an electron carrier in glycolysis and the respiratory chain, and as a substrate for sirtuins, PARP enzymes and CD38. NAD+ levels fall with age in tissues of many animals, so ageing research looks for ways to raise them.
For the oral form, what happens in the gut is decisive: NAD+ is a large, charged molecule and is mostly cleaved in the intestine into nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide, which are then absorbed. This is why most human studies focus on these precursors. Capsules with a fixed amount suit experiments on stability and breakdown in digestion models.
Status and quality
NAD+ is not approved as a medicine. Peptidkauf sells NAD+ Capsules solely as a research reagent for laboratory and in-vitro use and gives no dosing or application advice.
An independent laboratory tests every batch for identity and content before it goes on sale; the reports and their verification keys are in the lab report archive. Store the capsules dry, protected from light and at room temperature; no reconstitution is needed.
