Composition
| Component | Per vial | Point of action |
|---|---|---|
| NAD+ | 100 mg | Redox coenzyme, sirtuins and PARP |
| MOTS-c | 10 mg | AMPK activation, stress response |
| 5-Amino-1MQ | 10 mg | Inhibition of the enzyme NNMT |
How the components relate
NNMT consumes nicotinamide, a precursor of NAD+; inhibiting it with 5-Amino-1MQ is thought to leave more nicotinamide for NAD+ synthesis. MOTS-c activates the energy sensor AMPK. The combination follows a shared hypothesis about energy metabolism; this exact mixture has not been studied.
