State of research
Research began in the 1990s at Monash University in Australia. In mouse models the fragment increased fat breakdown (lipolysis) and inhibited new fat formation without affecting blood glucose, insulin sensitivity or growth.
The clinical trail runs through the variant AOD-9604, which carries an extra tyrosine: it was tested for weight reduction but missed its endpoint in a larger phase IIb trial. How to read the data is explained in AICAR and AOD-9604: what the studies show.
Status and quality
HGH fragment 176-191 is not approved as a medicine and is on the WADA Prohibited List. Peptidkauf sells HGH Fragment 176-191 solely as a research reagent for laboratory and in-vitro use and gives no dosing or application advice.
An independent laboratory tests every batch for purity (HPLC), identity and measured content before it goes on sale; the reports and their verification keys are in the lab report archive. The material ships as lyophilised powder in a glass vial; storage and laboratory handling are covered under storage & handling.
