What is pinealon?
Pinealon has three amino acids (418.4 g/mol). Like epitalon, it was described at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology and is associated with the nervous system.
Research status
Work examines oxidative stress and apoptosis markers in neuronal cultures and animal models, including prenatal hypoxia. A direct binding of the peptide to DNA promoter regions is discussed; the literature comes mostly from one group.
