What is cardiogen?
Cardiogen has four amino acids (489.5 g/mol). Like other bioregulators, it stems from the idea that short peptides influence gene activity in a tissue-specific way.
Research status
Work describes effects on proliferation and gene expression in fibroblast and cardiomyocyte cultures and in animal models, with an interaction with DNA and chromatin discussed as the mechanism. The literature comes mostly from one group; independent confirmation is largely missing.
