State of research
Selank was created at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow as an extended analogue of tuftsin, a four-amino-acid peptide that activates immune cells. The added Pro-Gly-Pro sequence makes it more stable. In Russia selank is approved as a nasal spray.
Studies examined effects on the GABA system, on enkephalin breakdown and on cytokine expression, plus rat anxiety models. There are hardly any data on the acetylated and amidated form itself; it is offered as a more stable variant for laboratory comparisons. More context in semax vs. selank.
Status and quality
N-acetyl selank is not approved as a medicine. Peptidkauf sells N-Acetyl Selank Amidate solely as a research reagent for laboratory and in-vitro use and gives no dosing or application advice.
An independent laboratory tests every batch for purity (HPLC), identity and measured content before it goes on sale; the reports and their verification keys are in the lab report archive. The material ships as lyophilised powder in a glass vial; storage and laboratory handling are covered under storage & handling.
