| Sequence | pE-HWSY-D-Ala-LRP-NHEt |
| Synonyms | GnRH-Analogon |
Structure
Alarelin is a nonapeptide GnRH analogue (pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-D-Ala-Leu-Arg-Pro-NHEt). The modifications increase stability and receptor affinity compared with the native hormone.
State of research
Research covers stimulation and — with continuous exposure — desensitisation of the pituitary, and applications in animal reproductive biology.
Status
Alarelin is not approved as a human medicinal product in the EU.
