Peptid-Lexikon
N-Acetyl Semax Amidat
N-terminal acetylierte, C-terminal amidierte Form von Semax mit höherer Stabilität gegen Peptidasen.
| Substanzklasse | Peptid |
|---|---|
| Sequenz | Ac-MEHFPGP-NH2 |
| Synonyme | NA-Semax-NH2 |
Struktur
N-Acetyl Semax Amidat entspricht der Sequenz von Semax (MEHFPGP) mit Acetylgruppe am N-Terminus und Amid am C-Terminus. Beide Endmodifikationen verlangsamen den Abbau durch Exopeptidasen.
Forschungsschwerpunkte
Die Fragestellungen folgen Semax: BDNF-Expression, neuroprotektive Effekte in Ischämiemodellen und Signalwege der Melanocortin-Familie. Studien speziell zur acetylierten Form sind selten.
Einordnung
N-Acetyl Semax ist nicht als Arzneimittel zugelassen.
