What is TB-500 Capsules?
Thymosin β4 (Tβ4) is an N-terminally acetylated peptide of 43 amino acids and one of the most abundant intracellular peptides. In research supply, TB-500 usually refers to the synthetic full-length peptide; the name is sometimes also used for the short actin-binding fragment LKKTETQ (Tβ4 17–23). The lab reports for Peptidkauf batches test for Tβ4. In capsule form the substance comes in a constant amount per capsule, which makes standardised test series without reconstitution easier.

State of research
Inside cells, thymosin β4 binds the structural protein actin and so influences cell movement and shape. Preclinically it was studied in models of skin and corneal wound healing, angiogenesis and heart muscle after infarction. Clinical trials used eye drops and topical gels; no approval followed.
There are practically no data on oral intake. A peptide of this size is normally degraded rapidly in the gut. Capsules contain a fixed amount each and need no reconstitution. In research they suit experiments on stability, release and degradation in simulated digestion. Why "TB-500" does not always mean the same thing is explained in TB-500 vs. thymosin beta-4; our lab reports analyse for full-length Tβ4.
Status and quality
TB-500 is not approved as a medicine and is on the WADA Prohibited List. Peptidkauf sells TB-500 Capsules solely as a research reagent for laboratory and in-vitro use and gives no dosing or application advice.
An independent laboratory tests every batch for identity and content before it goes on sale; the reports and their verification keys are in the lab report archive. Store the capsules dry, protected from light and at room temperature; no reconstitution is needed.
