Structure
Cartalax is the tripeptide AED. It belongs to the short synthetic peptides derived from studies of tissue extracts at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology.
Research focus
Publications describe effects on gene expression and differentiation markers in chondrocyte and fibroblast cultures and in cell-ageing models. Interactions of short peptides with DNA and histones are discussed as the mode of action.
Status
The literature comes mostly from one research group, and independent replications are rare. At Peptidkauf, cartalax is also a component of the cartalax + BPC-157 + TB-500 blend.
